Anna Crawford

Anna has a varied civil law and criminal law practice.  Her focus is on commercial litigation, professional indemnity, public liability and employment law.  She acts for parties in all stages of litigation, from  advising on and assisting with commencement of proceedings, to alternative dispute resolution and trial, in the State and Federal Courts and Tribunals.  Anna regularly appears unled in the civil, criminal and inquisitorial jurisdictions (as applicable) of the Supreme, District, Magistrates, Coroners and Childrens Courts of Queensland.

Since beginning her readership at the Bar in October 2024, Anna has drawn from her prior experience as a Solicitor, where she handled medical negligence, health law, and professional liability cases. She has appeared in Coronial proceedings and represented clients in all stages of regulatory processes addressing clinical, professional, and ethical concerns within both public and private health sectors.

Anna maintains a practice in sports law, where she leverages her background as an elite athlete. She has acted for and against sporting bodies in governance, employment and disciplinary proceedings, addressing issues of conduct and compliance within competitive sports. 

Anna was admitted as a Solicitor in 2019, and prior to joining the bar was a Senior Associate at Barry Nilsson Lawyers.
