Ben has a broad commercial and civil practice, and a particular interest in insolvency and bankruptcy matters, director and shareholder disputes under the Corporations Act, and complex commercial disputes.  He regularly appears led and unled in the Supreme, District and Federal courts on behalf of companies, insolvency practitioners and high net worth individuals.  

Ben has acted and appeared for those clients in various matters, including:

• Insolvent trading, voidable transaction, and unreasonable director related transaction claims on behalf of liquidators;
• Public examinations on behalf of liquidators;
• Complex contractual and equitable disputes;
• Derivative action and oppression matters under the Corporations Act;
• Professional negligence disputes;
• Restraint of trade matters;
• Leasing disputes;
• Director’s duties and fiduciary duties claims; and
• Numerous procedural and interlocutory applications.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), Bachelor of Arts (History) and Masters of Law (Commercial Litigation).  He is a member of the Commercial Law Association of Australia.
